We started the recording of our new EP
today and Aidan put down the drum tracks for two of the songs. This EP will
show some of the heavier songs that This Way Down have on their set list. Two
of the bands most famous songs 'Evacuation' and 'Disconnected' are to be put
on this EP. The songs chosen for the first EP were suited for radio play but
the songs on the new EP are being recorded due to demand from fans. Sound
engineer Jason Varley from Tumbleweed Studios is doing our recording. Our
first EP was recorded and mixed at Tumbleweed Studios but this time we are
recording most of it in our own practice room. The drums were recorded in the
studio. We are using some of the new gear we got
and Jason is taking bits of equipment from the studio. We are going to take
more time with this EP to try and get the sounds just right.
We have just invested in a new rig for
better sound at our gigs.
The first EP is available for
download in MP3 format from our music page. The second one will be posted when
it is finished.
